Like most Premier Stainless products, these wire rope thimbles have a high polish finish, which makes them favorites for use in decorative and architectural applications. The light duty thimbles are more cost-effective than the heavier duty ones, but should only be used in non-critical applications. Cable and wire rope thimbles are primarily used for making protected eyes in cables by wrapping the cable back on itself and affixing with wire rope clips or crimp sleeves (each sold separately in the Premier Stainless storefront).
