Propylene Glycol USP is used as a non-active ingredient in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. It is also used as a humectant and emulsifier in the production of food, personal hygiene products and liquid detergents. Products commonly containing Propylene Glycol as an ingredient include flavoring extracts, ice cream, soda, breads, salad dressings, deodorants, humidor solutions, topical products, non-toxic antifreeze solution, soaps, toothpaste, cosmetics, perfumes, fog fluids, and many more. The USP grade is produced according to the highest industry standards and tested for compliance with specifications of United States Pharmacopeia. The specified purity is more than 99.8%. Propylene Glycol is is often commonly abbreviated as PG-USP. **Please note the following; this product is not the same as glycerin. They are different compounds.
