AVID Jazz continues with its Four Classic album series with a re-mastered 2CD release from three great Brazilian artists Joao Gilberto (2); Walter Wanderley and Sergio Mendes complete with original artwork. Joao Gilberto from 1960 'Brazil's Brilliant', Walter Wanderley 'Sucessos Dancantes Em Ritmo De Romance' from 1961; Sergio Mendes 'Dance Moderno' from 1961 and Joao Gilberto 'The Boss Of Bossa Nova' from 1962. Re-capture those Olympic Rio moments with this fine Four Classic Bossa Nova 2CD set. Credited with pioneering the Bossa Nova sound Joao Gilberto is featured on two of our four albums. Also featured is pianist and organist Walter Wanderley, another pioneer of Bossa Nova. CD 2 kicks off with the first album released by future international star Sergio Mendes before returning to Joao Gilberto to see us dancing out the set.
