About Tygon E-3603 PVC Laboratory

This plastic tubing is made of Tygon formulation E-3603 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and is for use with peristaltic and vacuum pumps in lab applications. The tubing is clear and non-oxidizing to allow unobstructed visual monitoring of flow. The Tygon formulation E-3603 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) construction provides corrosion, abrasion, and flex-fatigue resistance for extended use in peristaltic and vacuum pumps. The tubing is suitable for use with most inorganic chemicals over prolonged periods of time without cracking or deteriorating, and its smooth inner bore allows full drainage and limits particulate build-up. It can be sterilized with chemicals, ethylene oxide (ETO), or autoclaving. The tubing has a working temperature range of -58 to 165 degrees F, a durometer (hardness) of 55A, and working pressure ratings that vary by tube size. This plastic tubing is rated as very flexible as it bends more easily than flexible or rigid tubing. It meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 175.300 criteria for food contact for quality assurance. The plastic tubing is not designed for use as an implant material, but it is suitable for use in peristaltic and vacuum pumps, incubators, gas lines, and drain lines, among other applications.
