About Carbon Steel A105 Forged Pipe Coupling

Forged pipe fittings are made to ASME B16.11, MSS-SP-79839597 and BS3799 standards. They are commonly used in heavy industries with high pressure and extreme conditions as a connector in between nominal bore pipes. The name forged pipe fitting derived from its manufacturing process, where alloy steel or carbon is heated in a high temperature and then cast to its desired shape. As a result, the grain size will be more refined resulting in higher strength and resistance to external impacts. In contrast with other pipe fittings, forged fittings have a thicker wall in order to withstand high working pressure up to 3000 or 6000 PSI. For easy identification, the fitting body will have markings to indicate information such as size, material, and class pressure. This full coupling (pipe coupling) forged fitting extends pipeline and connects small bore pipes of different and same sizes. It is also known as pipe coupling. It is made of carbon steel A105 material and conform to ASME B16.11 standard. The maximum working pressure is 6000 PSI and has 2 NPT ends.
