About Tefen Nylon 6/6 Pipe
The Tefen coupling pipe fitting is made of white nylon 6-6 and has female British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) threaded connections. This coupling fitting connects two pipes going in the same direction with the same diameter to extend a straight run. It has female BSPT threads for connecting to male threaded pipes, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is made of nylon 6-6 for high strength and flexibility, resistance to chemicals and abrasion, and a higher melting temperature than Nylon 6. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 200 pounds per square inch (psi), or 14 bar. This fitting meetings National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard 61 for use with drinking (potable) water.
