The socket weld elbow has an internal recess on the inside diameter to allow for a smooth bore and better fluid flow. Made of stainless steel 304, the lower carbon content of this pipe fitting minimizes harmful carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring higher corrosion resistance than 302 grade steel. This fitting meets standards MSS SP-114 for quality assurance.
