About Dixon H5753 Chrome Plated Brass Holedall

This Dixon H57 Series Holedall permanently attached internally expanded gas pump hose fitting is made of chrome-plated brass and connects hose to a female threaded NPT connector. It has a male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads to connect to female NPT Holedall connections which create a tighter seal than straight threads and a shell and stem on the other to connect hose using internal expansion to provide full flow. This coupling is made of chrome-plated brass for ductility at high temperatures, low magnetic permeability, and greater resistance to corrosion than unplated brass. Dixon Holedall stems and ferrules are specifically designed to be used together as a coupling system. Due to differences in dimensions and tolerances, for safety reasons, do not use other manufacturer's stems or ferrules with Dixon Holedall products. Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications. Hose fittings are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation. Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures pipe and hose fittings and accessories. The company, founded in 1916, is headquartered in Chestertown, MD.
