Type 304 stainless steel band helps provide resistance to corrosion
Zinc-plated carbon steel screw resists rust
Worm gear mechanism for precise band adjustment
Belleville spring construction provides constant tension for reduced leakage in changing temperatures
Band width of 5/8” provides greater sealing area than smaller width band
The Dixon CT series stainless steel constant torque clamp has a stainless steel band and housing, a zinc-plated steel screw, and provides constant tension for reduced leakage in changing temperatures. A worm gear mechanism adjusts the clamp’s diameter to precisely apply sealing pressure. A Belleville spring mechanism helps the clamp expand or contract its diameter as operational or environmental temperatures change. The band’s 5/8” width provides a greater sealing area than clamps of smaller width. The band and housing are made of stainless steel that conforms to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 304 standard and provides resistance to corrosion. The 3/8” hex-head screw allows installation using a nut driver or socket wrench. The screw is made of carbon steel that is zinc-plated for resistance to rust. Hose clamps attach hoses to fittings to prevent flow leakage. They come in a variety of designs and distribute uniform pressure over the circumference of hoses to bind them to fittings. Hose clamps are suitable for a large number of industries, and commonly used in industrial, electronic, and automotive applications. Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures pipe and hose fittings and accessories. The company, founded in 1916, is headquartered in Chestertown, MD.
