Description This Tefen metric industrial straight hose adapter is made of blue nylon 6/6 and has a barbed connection on one end and a male BSPT threaded connection on the other to connect a tube or a hose to a female BSPT threaded connection in a straight run. The barbed connection creates a tight seal on a tube or hose when secured with a Tefen snap clip (not included), and the male British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) threaded end connects with a female BSPT threaded connection, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This adapter (also called a connector) is made of nylon 6/6 for lightweight, strength, and resistance to corrosion from most chemicals and solvents. The maximum operating pressure for this fitting is 200 pounds per square inch (psi) (14 bar) at 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) in a temperature range of -5 to +230 degrees F (-20 to +110 degrees C), subject to application. This male hose adapter is suitable for connecting plastic, rubber, or soft PVC (polyvinyl chloride) hoses in industrial and domestic applications.
