Plus, stay in the know with hyperlocal weather forecasts for your precise location. Patented self-calibrating technology combines the display’s barometer data with the outdoor sensor’s measurements to provide a personalized weather forecast 12 hours from your current conditions. This personal weather station also detects lightning strikes up to 25 miles away and offers on-screen alerts along with running strike totals for the day, week, and month. This home weather station also indicates a heat index or freeze alert, giving early warning for outdoor activities and to gardeners so they can cover plants! The indoor display is AC powered and uses three (3) AAA batteries (not included) for optional backup in case of a power outage. The outdoor sensor has an integrated keyhole hanger for easy outdoor mounting within 330 feet (100 meters) of the display and requires four (4) AA batteries (not included).
