When combined with the Catapult TX4, it enables you to transform a standard Cat 5 cable into a 4-channel line-level analog snake. Simply connect a shielded Cat 5 cable between the two modules, and they'll use the analog conductors in the cable to deliver four balanced audio lines to whatever destination you choose. At GearNuts, we've used the RX4 to receive audio transmitted via a building's pre-existing Ethernet network, with no digital conversion necessary. You can put a performer, mic, and preamp in one room, and send the signal to your DAW in a completely different room.
