It provides a low profile, lightweight (only 26 grams), and cost-effective solution for use in software-defined radio applications as well as for quick EMC testing, wideband signal analysis, large bandwidth spectrum surveying, and UWB technology-related applications such as sensors, indoor localization, and IoT. The antenna provides a symmetrical omnidirectional linear polarization radiation pattern across a wide range of frequencies and a variable gain throughout the operating range, with an average of 3dBi. It can be deployed for indoor and outdoor use and matched for 50Ω systems. The size is only 12cm x 12cm with a maximum thickness equal to that of the SMA connector!
