Given the original Debut Series didn't have a center-channel model, Jones and company ensured everything about Debut Reference DCR52 lived up to its name. From the inside to the outside, Debut Reference DCR52 touts from-the-bottom-up acoustical technology and architecture. A new waveguide and open-grill design improve high-frequency response. A dual flared slot port increases bass output and dynamics. Two new, 5.25-inch cast chassis woofers – loaded with oversized ceramic magnets for powerful bass; aramid fiber cones for control; a woven fiber spider for excellent linearity and stability; low carbon-steel top and bottom plates for high magnetic conductivity; and a butyl rubber surround for inherent damping – minimize resonances and supply robust, full, dynamic extension.
