About Scalextric Mini 1275GT Data Post Alan Curnow 1979

Showcasing a 1275cc and tuned up from the original 57 horsepower to 120 horsepower engine for racing, it is easy to see where this Mini's name was born. After Mini concluded many years of success in rally, Mini turned to a new horizon with the British Saloon Car Championship now known as the British Touring Car Championship. For the 1979 British Saloon Car Championship Alan Curnow entered this ex-Longman Mini 1275GT. Resplendent in Datapost livery the car proved to be a great contender in the smaller engine class of the championship that season, the forerunner to todays super popular BTCC.
