About Vincent Sardi Jr. - Business Card Signed

VINCENT SARDI, JR. The famed New York City restaurant owner pens his signature on the back of his business card Business Card Signed: "Vincent Sardi" on verso of business card, 3½x2. Imprinted: "Vincent Sardi/President/Sardi's Restaurant/234 West 44th Street/New York, N.Y. 10036 Tel: 212-221-8444". Famed New York City restaurant owner and host Vincent Sardi, Jr. (1915-2007) inherited the New York restaurant founded by his father in 1921 and operated on 44th Street since 1927. A favorite haunt of theatre-goers and celebrities (as well as tourists), Sardi's walls were covered with caricatures of entertainers and other personalities. Originally drawn by artist Alex Gard in exchange for daily meals, the portraits are now drawn by Richard Baratz. Sardi, a gracious host, prominent Broadway personality and source for much Broadway history, was the co-author of several books. Staple holes at blank right margin. Fine condition. - Please contact us if you have any questions or require additional information. HFSID 26006
