INSERTION - Lying on your back with your knees bent and feet flat, use the applicator to insert the capsule as deep as possible into the vaginal canal. Failure to insert the capsule deeply enough into the vaginal canal will prevent the capsule from dissolving properly and may cause it to be expelled when you urinate.

DURATION - Insert the boric acid capsules before bed for 7 consecutive nights. If unwanted vaginal symptoms persist, repeat boric acid for another 7 nights. You should expect some clear watery discharge, so we recommend sleeping with a panty liner.

APPLICATORS - Your body position is critical. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat during insertion to avoid discomfort and jamming the capsule at the tip of the applicator.

PH TEST STRIPS - When opening the foil pack, the reagent pad at the tip of the test strips should be yellow. Use a common household cotton swab (not included) to collect a sample of vaginal fluid and wet the reagent pad, wait for 30 seconds, then compare it to the color chart. The reagent pad will continue to react and change color. Ignore the results after 30 seconds.

PH TEST RESULTS - If the color stays yellowish or light green (3.5 to 4.5), your pH is normal. If the color turns a dark green or blue (5 to 6.5), your pH is abnormal. Compare your pH test strip color result and the vaginal symptoms you are experiencing to the common vaginal infections chart.

PRODUCT LIMITATIONS - Wait 24 hours after using boric acid to have sex. Boric acid can be taken 24 hours after sex and on the last day of your period. Do not use near open wounds or with already irritated or broken skin. Having the capsule not fully dissolve can be eliminated by inserting the capsule deeper into the vaginal canal.
