The Rope King TN-34200 twisted nylon rope measures 3/4" in diameter by 200' long, and is suitable for use in lifting, towing, tying down, anchoring, and docking. Nylon rope resists abrasion and stretches to absorb shock from vibrations. The twisted construction is stronger than braided rope of the same size. This rope is white in color. Fibrous ropes used for pulling and lifting are made of natural and/or synthetic fiber strands. A combination of characteristics, including material, construction, diameter, length, and breaking strength, give each rope its performance capability. Fibrous rope materials are selected for properties such as strength, flotation, elasticity, and resistance to abrasion, ultraviolet light, and chemical compounds. Twisted rope, also called laid rope, consists of two, three, or four strands given a right-hand or left-hand twist. The parallel organization of the strands makes twisted rope generally stronger than braided rope of the same size, but also prone to abrasion wear.
