LATCH SET KIT FOR MAILBOX REPAIR - Tired of your mailbox door always falling open? Or are you searching for a non-rusting and waterproof mailbox latch? Our latch set kit is what you are looking for. Made from polypropylene (PP), a type of plastic commonly used in the manufacture of living hinges and other non-load-bearing applications. PP plastics are highly durable and can bend repeatedly without breaking. It is also chemical resistant, high toughness, fatigue resistance, and more.
TOP LATCH, DOOR LATCH, AND 2 LATCH CLIPS - This simple latch mechanism is composed of 4 components. The top latch and door latch come with interchangeable latch clips. Each latch has posts that fit in mounting holes that measure 7/8 inches from center to center. If your mailbox has mounting holes that are farther apart, the latches may not clip on or even fit properly.
COMPATIBLE WITH SOLAR GROUP STANDARD MAILBOXES - This latch kit will provide a snug fit, tightly securing your standard-sized metal mailboxes. It is suitable for use with existing latch holes (2 holes for the door latch and 2 holes for the top latch) on standard-sized metal mailboxes. Please note that you need to use the entire kit since the plastic latches won¡¯t work with metal hardware.
EASY TO INSTALL NO ADDITIONAL MOUNTING HARDWARE NEEDED - This kit is all you need to secure your mailbox door. You won¡¯t need tools as the latches clip on the mailbox through the existing holes left behind by your old metal latches. Did you make an installation mistake? No worries, you can easily slide out the latch clips to remove the latches.
Latch Set Kit For Mailbox Installation Guide 1.Remove the old or broken mailbox latches. Rid the mounting holes of dirt or debris from the broken/deteriorated latches. 2.Check if the mailbox¡¯s mounting holes align with the new latches¡¯ posts. 3.Install the door latch first. Insert it through the 2 holes on the mailbox¡¯s door. Secure the latch from the back of the mailbox door with the latch clip. Slide the latch clip onto the door latch¡¯s posts until it securely snaps into place. 4.Repeat Step 3 with the top latch. 5.Check the door latch and top latch¡¯s alignment. Adjust as needed. These latches are easy to install and do not require additional mounting hardware or even tools! And the best thing about these latches? They will make your mailbox easy to open and close. Your mailman will thank you for these latches! Double-Check Compatibility If your mailbox does not have latches (both door and top latches) with two holes, you may need to drill holes on the mailbox which we do not advise.
