This safety hinge assist is adequate to slow the fall of a 45 pounds lid, Two can hold a lid that weighs 90 pounds. Gas Struts Heavy Duty hinges will not applicable with the lid at width more than 50” and height over 25”. And must with a 9 inch clearance. Hinges will not work if your lid doesn’t match specified dimension and weight requirement. Important reminder We now offer instructions with both English and Metric measurements.
