DOORKNOB LOCK-OUT DEVICE – The Defender Security doorknob lock-out device can be placed directly over the entry doorknob to block access to the keyhole. Note: Measure your door's handle diameter to ensure it will fit inside the lock-out device.

COVERS KEYHOLE – This doorknob security device is designed to keep the keyhole on the locked entry doorknob from being accessed, not the handle from being turned, effectively keeping other keyholders out.

REMOVABLE – The durable diecast cylinder is held in place with an O-ring and is removable for cleaning when the device is unlocked and open. The cylinder cannot be removed when the device is closed and locked.

DIMENSIONS – This lock-out device can protect rounded doorknobs that have a max diameter of 2-7/16 inch. Note that the shaft cut-out is circular in shape and measures 1-3/16 inch, so it may fit loosely over doorknobs with smaller diameter slender shafts.

Product Description This Defender Security doorknob lock-out device is designed to be mounted directly over the entry doorknob to prevent access to the keyhole only, effectively preventing unauthorized access by key. The durable, diecast cylinder is held in place with a removable O-ring for cleaning the cylinder when the lock-out device is unlocked and open. The cylinder cannot be removed when the device is closed and locked. This lock-out device is often used in evictions, rentals, home sales, on job sites, in-home, on in-office storage room knobs to keep other keyholders out, even if they have a key to the door. It is a quicker and easier solution than replacing the entire knob and lock system on a door while still getting the protection you need. The maximum outside diameter of a round knob that can be secured with this device is 2-7/16 inch. From the Manufacturer This knob lock-out device is constructed from diecast and comes in a gray painted finish. It is designed to mount over a locked door knob with the purpose of blocking access to the keyhole only. This lockout device is often used in evictions, rentals, home sales, job sites and in-home, or on in-office storage room knobs to prevent others with keys from unlocking the door knob. The maximum diameter of a round knob that can be secured with this device is 2-7/16 in. outside diameter. This lock-out device will not work on knobs that are larger than 2-7/16 in. in diameter. Note that the shaft cut-out is oval/oblong in shape and measures 1-3/4 in. x 1-1/2 in., and it may fit loosely over some door knobs with round, slender shafts. Note: These lock-out devices are for use over keyed/locked door knobs to block access to the keyhole from others who may have keys to unlock the door.
