Warning labels!!!! A heavy duty bungee cord in quality, construction and durability does not mean you should use it to strap down heavy loads on the top of your van! When you see a kayak on the roof of a van it doesn’t mean that the bungee cords are the only thing holding those kayaks in place, that would be pretty dangerous, as bungee cords are elastic, they move with weight, that would be unsafe!

What bungee cords are great at in this context, is being used a secondary strap for stability of the kayak; I.e the kayak being strapped and safely secured with ratchet straps, and then the front and back ends of the kayak being strapped with bungee cords, that would give great stability and security; you’d want heavy duty high quality bungee cords for that right?
