Compatible with Shelves Up to 11.25 Inches in Width: Although this kit uses 12 inch pipe once this pipe is assembled and screwed into the cap and flange you lose about .75 inches in usable space. Therefore the maximum shelf width that we suggest using for an 12 inch shelf bracket is 11.25 inches (if you want your shelf to rest on the pipe).
