This is an early maturing sooyow type cucumber seeds for planting outdoors. This type of cucumber has very spiny skin yet thin skin (顶花带刺黄瓜). The skin does not require peeling, just wash the spine off and slice. Fruits grow 14-15” long, crisp with good flavor. Excellent for pickling and fresh eating. Tolerant to heat. Vegetable plants & seeds resistant to DM, PM, CMV and fusarium wilt. High yielding. Good vegetable seeds for planting home garden, open field, potted plant and greenhouse. Warm season annual. 11 garden seeds for planting vegetables in packet. Maturity: Approx. 50-60 days. Planting season: Late spring/early summer. What’s the difference between two varieties of cucumbers we offer? Both Sooyow Nishiki cucumber and China Long cucumber are Asian type cucumbers which contain a less bitter taste than other cultivars, providing a more pleasant eating experience. They are crisp, crunchy, and succulent with bright, melon-like flavors. China Long cucumbers have a mild, lightly sweet flavor while Sooyow Nishiki has less sweet taste. Price-wise, Sooyow Nishiki is an heirloom variety so the price is much lower than China Long (hybrid).
