About Brussel Sprouts Seed, Churchill, Heirloom, Non

Delicious. No garden is complete without Brussel Sprouts. Churchill is a wonderful heirloom variety with good old-fashioned taste and prolific production of sprouts. This is the earliest variety for Brussels sprouts. Very flavorful variety that are medium green with smooth and large sprouts. Variety is vigorous and easy to grow for a diverse climate. You will find out how early they mature. This delicious brussels sprout also sets those little-cabbage-like morsels very early - within 90-100 days, so you can pick them without wearing earmuffs. Brussels sprouts always seem to be the last project in our garden and I have many memories of chipping them out of the ice. Churchill grows about 2 feet tall with a nice medium-green color. A chef we know in St. Louis, suggests just rinsing them, then frying in a pan or wok with oil and garlic at pretty high heat. Just delicious. Seeds can be sown directly into the garden when soil is warm or started in containers and transplanted when several inches tall. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER SEED LISTINGS
