About 100 Pearl Oyster Mushroom Spawn Plugs/Dowels To

Growing mushrooms on logs and stumps is the perfect way to enjoy fresh mushrooms at home. It is a fun project to engage in and is low maintenance. Even if you do not have a large backyard, log and stump mushroom growing can be a great addition to your urban garden . Any hardwood loving mushrooms can be grown on logs. That includes Shiitake, Oysters, Reishi, and Lion’s Mane. Mushroom cultivation on logs requires access to hardwood logs and/or stumps. It involves first "inoculating" hardwood logs with mushroom mycelium, and then allowing the log to naturally colonize over a period of 6-9 months. When the logs are fully colonized- and the season is right- the mushrooms will emerge from the log and can be harvested and enjoyed.
