Lavandula angustifolia.Famous for centuries for its sweet soothing lasting scent and for beautiful pale blue to dark violet blooms. Flowers can be used dried in sachets, wreaths, and arrangements, and as a tea for headaches or exhaustion. Hardy perennial reaching 3', woody shrublike plant with grey-green needle-like foliage and lavender flowers growing on long-stemmed spikes. Attracts small pollinating insects and syrphid flies. Certified through Zone 5 climates but ours have been successfully cultivated in a Zone 3 area for 10 consecutive years! Our seeds are high yield and hardy and will do well in harsher, cooler climates! Culture: Likes well-drained alkaline sandy soil. Germinates in 21 days at 60–70°.
