Zinnia elegans 'Queeny Red Lime' is exotic and unusual with red flowers, flecked with lime. I love a single stem of this in a vase. There is hardly a vegetable garden in France, where you will not see zinnias grown for cutting. They thrive in hot, dry, Mediterranean summers and need good drainage and sunny open positions, but survive our colder, wetter summers fine. Any doubts, give them one or two doses of Copper Mixture and they will thrive. Care Tips Water once a week and stake plants individually . Ensure good air circulation around plants and tidy up any dead or dying leaves to avoid botrytis. Picking or deadheading is necessary to prolong blooming and encourage branching.
