CULTURE Soil temperature: 70-80 degrees fahrenheit Germination lighting: Dark required Germination days: 10 days Planting Depth: 1/4" Plant spread: 12 inches Plant height: 36'' Plant type: Annual Maturation days: 60 days In spring loosen enriched garden soil down to a 6" depth. Cleome can be started early in pots but for best results we direct seed them in spring where they will germinate once day temperatures reach a consestant 70 degrees. In pots they prefer dark so we press them into the soil and cover them lightly with peat or in the garden we sprinkle and cover lightly with peat.
