USDA Hardiness Zone. Lily of the valley is a very beautiful flower grown in 3 - 8(USDA).

Mature size. Lily of the valley can grow to be about 6 to 12 inches in height, with a width of 9- 12 inches.

Sow. Sow seeds and cover with a layer of compost, then fine gravel. Bury the seed flat or pot into the soil in a shady location and keep moist. It will take two months to a full year for seeds to germinate and sprout.

Use. Petite, fragrant flowers rise on long stems from the leaf clumps in spring, and orange-red berries appear later in the fall. This is a hardy ground cover that spreads gradually but persistently to form dense colonies.
