Adore beautiful flower decorations in your yards? The Amethyst Falls Wisteria plant is the perfect perennial option for you! With gorgeous flowers that have a high fragrance, a fast growth rate, and easy maintenance — what is not to love? This butterfly attracting bush is the perfect addition to flower beds, containers, or you can even prune it into tree form. Wisteria is not an evergreen and will lose its leaves over winter to prepare for dormancy. Plant these hanging vines along a trellis, arbor, or fence to assist in growing with a support system. Similar to bougainvillea, honeysuckle, jasmine or other flowering vines. Prune the trunk in late winter or early spring to encourage a tall growth rate and get it growing more in tree form. Wisteria trees are easy to maintain and will provide gorgeous splashes of color during the active growing season. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbird will flock to your garden in no time! This wisteria is an american hybrid and non invasive unlike its varietal chinese counterparts. It will not spread or take over! These climbing bushes can put on 3-5 feet of growth per year when given the proper growing conditions. Be sure to plant outdoors in full sun as more shade will hinder the flower production. These are not grown from seed, but from cuttings in our green house. Does not ship to CA, AZ, HI, or AK due to agricultural restrictions.
