PERENNIAL & VERSATILE: Ladino Clover is a giant white clover thriving as a perennial across USDA Zones 3-10. It is perfect for erosion control, food plots, green manure, and pasture mixtures, offering high nutritive value and palatability for livestock and wildlife such as rabbits, turkey and deer.
HIGH NUTRITIVE VALUE & NITROGEN FIXATION: This clover is highly nutritious, improving pasture and food plots. It captures nitrogen from the air, enhancing soil fertility and promoting healthier plant growth without synthetic fertilizers.
EASY TO PLANT & DROUGHT-TOLERANT: Sow at 1/2-3/4 lb per 1,000 sq ft or 8-10 lbs per acre. Broadcast on prepared soil, rake lightly, and keep moist until germination in 14 days. This drought-tolerant clover reduces the need for frequent watering.
NITROCOATED & INOCULATED: All Outsidepride clover seeds are nitrocoated and inoculated, ensuring better water retention and germination. This treatment results in a robust, healthy crop that establishes quickly and thrives in various conditions.
SOIL IMPROVEMENT & POLLINATOR-FRIENDLY: Ladino clover enhances soil structure, soil health, and fertility. Its blooms attract bees and other pollinators, supporting a healthy ecosystem and improving crop yields in your fields.
This is a branded, inoculated, Nitro-Coated clover seed sold by Outsidepride. Please ensure your clover seed comes from Outsidepride or you are not buying Outsidepride seed. Nitro-Coat rhizobium strains are specifically chosen for each seed type. A key to any successful establishment and early seed development is moisture. NITRO-COAT is naturally water absorbent and helps attract soil moisture to the seed, getting your stand established quickly. This coating process which Outsidepride utilizes, assures that only the top-performing and crop-specific rhizobia will be applied to ensure your clovers reach maximum nodulation, stand establishment, and yield potential. The weight of the clover seeds will contain approximately 34% coating material that contains the inoculant and water holding material for better establishment and viability of the seed. There is no difference in the seeding rates between the coated and raw seed due to the increased germination and viability of the bulk clover seeds that are coated and inoculated. Ladino Clover, or Trifolium repens latum, is a giant white perennial clover. It is two to four times as large as common white clover. It grows rapidly and spreads by stolons which can reach 12 - 15 inches long. Ladino Clover makes up about half the total white clover acreage in the United States. It is often found in pasture mixtures as it is very palatable and nutritious. It is moderately hardy because it is shallow rooted and will not tolerate much drought. It is considered to be a long-lived perennial in the northern United States but short-lived in the southern areas. Ryegrass and orchard grass work well with Ladino Clover in mixtures. It does not do well in sandy soils unless it is frequently watered. Ladino Clover is often used in deer plot mixtures, and it easily reseeds itself. Plant in either fall or early spring.
