The common name is Peach-leaved Bell flower. Grow Bellflowers in full sun and in soil that is well-draining. Deadhead spent flowers to extend the bloom season. Bellflowers make excellent cut flowers and can last in a vase up to 2 weeks. Start the Campanula seed indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the end of frost season. Press the seed firmly into the soil and do not cover. Keep the seed continuously moist, and maintain a temperature of 68F. Germination is usually within 28 days. Transplant outdoors after frost danger has passed and space the plants 18 inches apart.
