DECORATIVE: English ivy can act as a ground cover, spreading horizontally. But it is also a climber, due to its aerial rootlets, which allows it to climb to 90 feet high.
GROWTH: English Ivy will grow to be about 8 inches tall and can spread up to 90 feet, due to it's creeping/trailing nature. The best time to plant English ivy is spring. It is a fast, aggressive grower that is considered invasive in many areas.
CARE: English ivy plants grow well in part shade to full shade. When watering your ivy, always check the soil before adding water. Ivy prefers to be kept slightly on the dry side.
FUN FACT: When kept indoors as a houseplant, English ivy may also help with air purification. In fact, English ivy is one of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA’s) top 10 air-purifying plants.
