An annual flowering plant that grows 30 to 45" (0.5-1 m) tall. Beautiful white, pink, and purple flowers. Blooms from July to fall. Used for flowerbeds, borders, and group plantings. Planting instructions: Spectacular, unusual annual plants will definitely become a wonderful decoration of your garden. The cleome bush reaches a height of 35'' (90 cm), and the color scheme of the inflorescences is simply mesmerizing. Color - white, purple, pink, red. Start off the seed indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost date. For successful germination, refrigerate the seed at 40 F (4 C) for 5 days. Sprinkle the chilled seed over a tray of seed-starting mix, then moisten them. Place the tray in a large, clear plastic bag, then put it in the refrigerator for approximately 2 weeks. Remove the tray from the plastic bag. Put the tray in a sunny location that is 70 F (21 C), until germination. Plant seedlings outside when danger of frost has passed. Find a well-drained, humus-rich and sunny to lightly shaded location. Space seedlings 10 to 24 inches (25-60 cm) apart. Confirm that the hole is neither too deep nor too shallow, then fill it with soil. Push the loose soil with your hands to remove any air pockets, then fill it with more soil. Continue until the seedling is anchored strongly. Keep the soil evenly moist for a few weeks after planting seedlings.
