All aquarium divider models are made with a 1/4" silicone formulated at the right density to fit your aquarium without stressing the glass or joints. This silicone seal helps prevent even the smallest of fish, macro algae fibers or anything else from slipping by. If you use our Dexter's Divider to house reptiles, arachnids, or amphibians & use a screen top, do not worry, our dividers fit perfectly underneath. If you house fish or a reef, the top bar that fits the Dexter's Divider keeps the divider panel from bowing.
