This is the FAA Private Pilot - Airplane: Airman Certification Standards FAA-S-ACS-6B (Change 1). Released in 2018, includes Change 1 (2019). For use in 2024. The ACS is an enhanced version of the Practical Test Standards (PTS). It provides a single-source set of standards for both the knowledge exam and the practical test. It clearly tells applicants, instructors, and evaluators what an airman must KNOW, CONSIDER, and DO to pass the knowledge test and the practical test for the private pilot certification in the airplane category, single-engine land and sea; and multiengine land and sea classes.
