About Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate Powder, Magnesium

Product name: Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate CAS: 114040-31-02 Molecular Formula: C6H7MgO9P Molecular weight: 278.39 Typical properties Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP) is a stable precursor of vitamin C. It achieves a constant delivery of vitamin C into the skin and has antioxidative effects. It offers a more stable form of vitamin C, however, the antioxidant properties of magnesium ascorbyl phosphate are much weaker than those of L-ascorbic acid. L-ascorbic acid is by far the most effective vitamin C with the greatest capability of neutralizing free radicals. USAGE This is a cosmetic raw material and is meant for external use only in cosmetic formulations. Typical usage rate: 0.2 - 3, up to 10% Appearance: White to off-white powder with a mild odor Solubility:Soluble in water (154g/l), mix well, and allow time for lumps to dissolve Formulation Guidelines:Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP) may discolor in formulations with a pH below 6, so is best used in products with a final formulation pH between 6.0 - 7.0.
