Camu Camu is a native fruit of the Peruvian Amazon, mostly in floodable areas; it grows on a tree that can reach 5 ms of height. Camu Camu grows mostly at the banks of the Ucayali and amazonas rivers and its affluents, in the area between the towns of Pucallpa (by the Ucayali river) and Pebas (by the Amazon river Central Rainforest, Chanchamayo- Perú).
