Used for arts, crafts, hobbies, rustic weddings, parties, signs, home accents and much more. Originally developed as the perfect woodburning surface, Rustic Basswood Country Planks are so versatile, they can even be used to chip carve. Provides an ideal surface for painting too. Try it with chalkboard paint! They're also fun to decoupage and stamp. Basswood Country Planks are often seen as rustic food platters for picnics, parties, and rustic weddings. Even as signs! Drill a hole and make a unique clock for someone you love. (Use Walnut Hollow clock movement #23855). Treat with beeswax or mineral oil before using for food. Each piece is kiln dried and finely sanded before being shrink-wrapped. No chemicals are used in the manufacture of our Basswood Planks. This Made in America product is sold by width increments only. This is a natural product so each piece will be unique in size and look and might have some minor defects such as flecking, blue or black stains, or knots and curvature adding to its charm. The length is sawn and will be consistent at 23 inches long. The width will be between 8 inches and 12 inches wide by 5/8 inches thick.
