About Specialty Resin & Chemical Color-Pro | Polyurethane
Color-Pro is a polyurethane resin intended for vibrant castings of various models, reproductions, figurines and prototypes. After curing, this resin is semi-clear, so achieving the color effect you want is easy. Color-Pro Urethane Casting Resin is a liquid plastic system with 2 components. This product is available in various sizes, but this listing is for the 32-ounce kit, which contains 16 ounces of hardener (side A) and 16 ounces of resin (side B). Color-Pro is ideal for professional and hobby projects. Craft enthusiasts and taxidermists enjoy Color-Pro's qualities that make it easy to pigment. Uses for this product include: Casting models, figurines and prototypes Proofing molds Making reproductions Making jewelry Following the mix ratio for Color-Pro casting resin is easy. Combine both sides in equal — 1:1 — proportions, determined by weight or volume. Added dyes should equal 1% to 3% of the total measurement. You can use your easy-cast resin with automated dispensing equipment or mix it by hand. This formula is extremely compatible with silicone molds. Users choose Color-Pro for its low viscosity of 150 cps, high strength and excellent impact resistance. With zero solvents or fillers, Color-Pro is almost completely odorless. Once you mix part A and Part B, you have 2.5 minutes to pour your resin. Follow the instructions for more information about using dyes and other additives. It takes just 15 minutes for Color-Pro liquid plastic to turn into a solid piece of polyurethane resin. Do not hesitate pouring the resin once mixed, especially when pouring larger batches which will decrease the working time. Note that adding too much dye or changing the mix ratio can affect the material and physical properties of Color-Pro polyurethane casting resin. When mixed properly, Color-Pro has a heat deflection rating of 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
