MAKE YOUR OWN BATS - You can make your own bisque-fired clay bats for free! All you do is: (1) slice or roll out a slab of clay, (2) cut it to the correct size (don't forget clay shrinks in the fire), (3) Dry each tile flat (4) Bisque fire your tiles and (5) you're ready to go! Bisque fired tiles have the additional benefit that they will naturally separate from the pot as they dry, rather than having to be wired off.

The Tile Spinner 1.0 utilizes standard 6" ceramic tiles you can purchase at your local hardware store at bats for throwing on the wheel. For use with pottery wheel wheel heads that have 8-inch-center bat pins (i.e. The bat pins in the wheel head are 8 inches apart)
