It could be used on fragile or thinner tabletops when heavy duty 3 or 4 monitor mount is installed. It decreases centralized desk stress by dispersing the weight across a larger surface area (the main bracket measures 10” x 6.1”). Besides, the steel plate fits almost all c clamp. The 2 anti-slip pads is included to protect desk from scuffs and scratches. Installation is a fast and easy process, just need to align the brackets to the C-clamp.
