The Kingston DC1000B Data Center Drive is a high-performance M.2 (2280) PCIe NVMe SSD that uses the latest generation of PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4 interface with 64-layer 3D TLC NAND technology. The DC1000B is a cost-effective boot disk solution for data centers. What's more, they know they're buying an SSD designed for server use. The DC1000B SSD is particularly well suited for use in high-volume rack-mounted servers as a boot disk as well as integration into specific systems that require a high-performance M.2 SSD with embedded power loss protection (PLP). *On a Flash storage unit, some of the nominal capacity is reserved for formatting and other functions and is therefore not available for data storage. As a result, the actual capacity available for data storage is less than that stated for each product.
