About Andrea Communications USB-UNIV Universal External

Andrea Communications USB-UNIV Universal External USB TRRS Headset Adapter is an external soundcard that accepts both Computer Headsets with dual 3.5mm pink and green plugs and Mobile Headsets with a single shared audio 3.5mm black TRRS plug. This combination of universal audio jacks allows you to connect any mobile headset or computer headset to your computer via a USB connection. The USB-UNIV uses high-quality digital circuitry to bypass the computer's internal sound system. Internal sound cards are often placed near noisy components, such as power supplies and processors which can generate audible noise affecting the performance of your headset, microphone or speakers. The USB-UNIV converts the analog audio signal to digital. The result is increased clarity and performance of both the stereo microphone input and stereo speaker output for all digital audio applications including VoIP and speech recognition programs.
