This 24 in. downrod is best for ceilings that are 12 ft. high. If your ceiling fan has a light kit, reduce the length of the downrod by 12 in. The current Emerson Ceiling Fan line will be re-branded as kathy ireland HOME. While the name will change, we want to reassure our customers that the product and our core values remain the same. From the Manufacturer Emerson ceiling fan finishes are designed for long-lasting beauty and durability. Plated finishes are hand-polished and lacquered to prevent tarnishing. Painted finishes are either electrostatically applied powder coating for better adhesion and luster or hand painted to achieve extraordinary depth, richness and one-of-a-kind look.
