Most two-way radios use MURS as it doesn't need an FCC license.The handheld M538-HT radio operates as a transceiver. It can receive alert messages from the MURS Alert Transmitter (MAT). At the same time, the unit can transmit signals to another M538-HT radio or an M538-BS Base Station. The M538-HT transceiver operates on five channels with 38 private sub-channels. On the transceiver's LCD screen, you can find the Lock Icon.
