About In DeLorean's Shadow: The Drug Trial Of The Century

Review In DeLorean's Shadow receives warm literary welcome and rates an Amazon Readers' Favorite 5 Star Review: "Here is a story that every publisher and media house should be scrambling for, and it beats me that it is self-published, because it is well-written, a powerful documentary that readers would enjoy on screen. I wish to shout out to the big movie giants out there: "Make this book into a movie." Yes, because it reads like one and fans of Narcos will love it This book is a spiritual journey, a story of one man's passage from utter darkness into the light. In DeLorean's Shadow is a story of hope and it is stunning in its message. If there is one book, one nonfiction book, one inspirational book you must read this year, let it be Stephen Arrington's story. It doesn't fail in any aspect! Great dialogues, awesome scene narratives, and an evocative, spellbinding style of writing."--Christian Sia "In DeLorean's Shadow," reviewed by Dan Barnett, Book Columnist, ChicoEnterprise Record. "Stephen Arrington was sent to Terminal Island Federal prison for half a decade. He refused to be a snitch. In the book, he explains why 'DeLorean was not guilty.' His good behavior and extraordinary skills (from diving to firefighting to nurturing a small patch of green grass in the prison yard), and his appearance in the Doonesbury comic strip, opened opportunities both inside the wall and out. He saved a man's life; he became an expedition leader and chief diver for the Cousteau Society. Becoming a Christian in prison began to reorient his life and produced a growing conviction 'to talk with youth about the kind of hope that changes lives.' The story he tells is very human, inviting, invigorating and most assuredly hopeful." Tamir Ardon, Producer of "DeLorean" XYZ Films Unbelievable...... but all true! As a proud DMC-12 owner and founder of the world's largest DeLorean website, I found Steve's story incredible, but even less for his involvement in the DeLorean trial (which itself is utterly remarkable) than for Steve's own story of redemption. Painting pictures of a dark and dismal world that he was unfortunately thrust into--yet freely admitting that it was by his own hand. Steve almost immediately begins to work on himself, moving from a young man who, with one life-changing mistake, puts many years of military service and life-experience at risk, into one who owns that mistake and turns it into an even more uplifting example of courage. Throughout his now-tarnished life in prison, Steve doesn't just focus on his own wellbeing and survival (which of course he must), but in addition, chooses to selflessly help others - which he proves countless times by directly saving many lives. If those he saved live their lives at even 10 percent of the manner by which Steve continues to choose to live on a daily basis, the world is already a better place many times over. As a film producer, I was moved by the sweet irony of how a former Navy frogman clearly in love with the natural world would emerge from a horrifying ordeal in very unnatural, confined places to once again return to the beauty of nature by capturing images of it for the Cousteau Society. How fitting that President would award Steve an unconditional pardon for bringing his own message of hope to millions of youths. An inspiring true story that never relents, it was an honor to finally read his unbelievable account - but an even greater honor was meeting Steve in person. He was gracious enough to sit down for an interview for a documentary film I'm producing about John DeLorean, and in doing so, recounted some of the very intense and real moments in which his life changed forever with his involvement in the DeLorean case. In addition to the interview, Steve opened up his archives to me as research for the film. As a DeLorean historian, reading through the thousands of documents he has access to since his defense was provided copies of all investigations done by the DeLorean de
