• Use 28 gauge bezel wire for light/odd shaped cabochons. This light-weight bezel wire will take on the shape of any cabochon. To secure heavier cabochons into their settings, use 26 gauge bezel wire.

• Choose bezel wire that measures at least 1mm more than where the cabochon just starts to curve into the dome. After soldering, sand/saw the height of the bezel if it covers too much of the cabochon.

• Included with each bezel wire is a jeweler's tip sheet or article.

• Decorate your bezel with twisted, beaded or patterned wire for a custom touch.

• Use any silver solder used for jewelry making. Fine silver doesn't need pickling. If soldering the bezel onto a Sterling plate, however, it will need pickle to remove oxidation from the Sterling.
