This book has 136 images to practice with (68 presented in both parallel and cross-eyed view). Since this is for beginners, each picture in this book contains a single letter, number, symbol, or simple shape. I also included some tips on how to view the images to help you with your journey into the magical world of hidden 3D. An Introduction to Stereograms In simple words, a stereogram is a picture within a picture. It is an “optical illusion” art where you can see a totally different image in 3D form beyond a series of ordinary patterns. The seemingly ordinary 2D picture creates an awesome, almost magical impression of depth; when viewed in a certain way, the deep 3D image will just be floating before your eyes! Stereograms are not a game of imagination; the 3D images revealed are very real. And yes, no special eyeglasses needed. A stereogram can be seen only when you look at it with intentionally unfocused eyes which means in a slightly different way compared to how we normally view things. If you look at a stereogram in a normal way, you will see only the patterns but by shifting the focus of your eyes, you will see the 3D image emerging at a certain point. Some viewers may be more comfortable using the parallel technique while others may prefer cross-eyed viewing. Because of this, each image in this book is presented in both views (first parallel, second x-view). The answers are provided on the last three pages of the book. I had a lot of fun creating each image in this book so get ready with your “unfocused eyes” and enjoy this all-new stereogram experience. Welcome to the magical world of hidden 3D!
